Home      About Me

Mukesh Maurya, was born on 18th June 1980 in a small village 100 kms away from Varansi, brought up in Delhi. He completed his schooling from Central School Janak Puri in the year 1998. After finishing school the regular education wasn’t of any interest to this individual. So he started his practical education starting with a project with a market research firm and went ahead to tour half of Andhra Pradesh at the young age of 18 interviewing NGOs. After the successful completion of that project he moved on to enroll himself to a correspondence course in Delhi University and at the same time prepared enrolled for a diploma course in Multi Media & Web Design. 3 months down the line he was teaching in the same very institute the very course that he was supposed to complete in 3 years.

Although it was a very good start for a youngster his age, teaching wasn’t his cup of tea, so he moved on and joined the IT revolution, with Gausa India ltd., as one of the Beta Testers within six months he was promoted to level 2 on the same profile where he mainly worked with application called switch notes which in many versions is seen today as photo and file exchanging application and online meeting places and online document editing. 1 ½ years down came the big IT crash when almost all small scale IT companies started to disappear, Gausa India was no exception. Hence he moved to the now booming outsourcing industry and joined an Ansal’s venture called Callnet later renamed to Geo Connect. In Callnet he started out as a regular over the phone sales rep, and soon got the responsibility of verifying sales and getting up sales and also educate the trainees on how to go about their respective campaign.

Mukesh was always a technocrat at heart learning more and more about technology and implementing it effectively had always been his way of life so he moved on to a technology company as soon as he got the offer, joining HCL’s BPO arm was the next step he took. He joined as a Senior Technical support rep and helped people on emails and live chat for their issues with the most famous tax calculation software in US called Turbo Tax. However, this process was seasonal, which remained active for about 6-8 months every year. Once the process was done with HCL downsized almost 90% of the workforce from that process and so Mukesh moved to iGate where he joined as a senior customer service rep., and worked for over the phone sales of products in UK. At iGate he had the opportunity to work with the COPC implementation team, which simply meant working with a group of people to implement the COPC gold standard policies and help the organization get the certification. By now he had realized that there isn’t actually a set ‘field’ of work for any individual, anyone is capable of doing anything that they set their mind to and formal education never comes in the way unless you let it. This thought process and self revelation brought about major changes in his path.

After iGate he moved to Collwell&Salmon Communications, which wasn’t a big name in the industry as yet, however it had few of the biggest outsourcing clients. Colwell&Salmon was the most challenging and enlightening profiles yet. With Collwell&Salmon, Mukesh helped with the 1st inbound support processes of the organization. Additionally he also helped the organization with 2 other pilot service projects. Later he worked as a process consultant for about 6 months with the same organization and at the same time worked on a personal project involving a computer retail outlet.

At the computer outlet he was presented with an opportunity to work with one of the most innovative Indian computer hardware brand called ZEBRONICS. Without wasting any time he joined ZEBRONICS as the head of Research & Development, basically to ensure all products brought into the market by ZEBRONICS are upto the international standards and can surpass customer’s expectations. Within a few months he also took up the PR manager’s job with ZEBRONICs and has been working towards a significant presence of ZEBRONICs and its products in all print and online media and has been pretty successful with it too. Additionally he has also been helping with Ad design, Ad concepts while retaining the R&D head’s position. That’s the story so far of his professional life.
